We have extensive experience acting in parenting and child custody cases of all kinds
We have extensive experience advising and representing parents and other interested parties (such as grandparents and other relatives) in relation to parenting and child custody matters of every kind.
These range from relatively straight forward settlements about how to organise living arrangements of children, through to hotly contested court disputes involving complex issues such as international relocation, family violence, drug and alcohol dependency issues, and allegations of abuse.
Our experience
Examples of recent cases that we have worked on include:
- Acting for the applicant father in contested proceedings in which the mother made allegations of significant family violence against him (which were held by the judge to be untrue). The father successfully resisted orders sought by the mother for the parties’ young child to relocate interstate.
- Acting for the applicant mother to set aside/overturn prior final orders in relation to the parties’ young child and obtain new final orders for the child to spend supervised time with the father on an ongoing basis.
- Acting for the mother in contested court proceedings to obtain international relocation orders for a seven-year-old child.
- Acting for an applicant father in court proceedings to obtain relocation and primary care of two children.
- Acting for an applicant father to obtain sole decision-making responsibility for medical decisions for three children.
